Sunday Sept 12th

September Wine Club Release

12-2pm Wine Club and Founders Club Members Only, 2-4pm, Everyone

Join us in the wine cellar this weekend for September's Wine Club Selection Tasting and Favorite Recipe Pairing

September Wine Club Selections

2007 Athena, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Scheduled to be released this October 2010, the flavors are: Light, bright red. Tangy red berry and spice aromas are complicated by black tea and rose. Lively strawberry and raspberry flavors gain weight and power in the mid-palate, taking a turn to deeper cherry and black raspberry. Finishes with appealing sweetness, with the red fruit notes repeating. Drinking well now. 89 Stephen Tanzers International Wine Cellar, August 2010 800 cases made

Pairing with Boeuf Bourguignon, a harvest staple.

2007 Stoller Vineyard, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir

Vivid red. Fresh red berries, candied cherry and flowers on the nose, with a suave spicy quality gaining strength with air. Silky in texture and appealingly sweet, with nicely concentrated red fruit flavors and no rough edges. Finishes juicy and refreshingly brisk, with lingering notes of raspberry and flowers. Delicious now but balanced to age. This is all Dijon clone 115. 91 Stephen Tanzers International Wine Cellar

The 2007 Pinot Noir Stoller Vineyard has a lovely aromatic array of cedar, rose petal, spice box, incense, cherry, and raspberry. Velvety, medium-bodied, and elegant, this concentrated effort has no hard edges. It, too, can be enjoyed through 2017. 91 Robert Parkers Wine Advocate, October 2009 50 cases made.

Pairing with chilled poached local salmon and herbed creme fraiche.

2009 Pinot Gris from Pappas Wine Co.

A winery favorite every year! All Stainless fermented, with crisp and rich flavors reminiscent of pear, melon and wisps of flowers on the nose. The fruit comes from Oregons Willamette Valley, sustainably grown in the Eola Hills and southern Willamette Valley. A perfect wine for warm evenings & barbeques on the porch. 200 cases made

Pairing with phyllo squares filled with a wild mushroom, garden herbs and Pinot Gris reduction.
