Description

92+ The Wine Advocate

The 2014 Pinot Noir Finnigan Hill Vineyard has a pale to medium ruby-purple color and a nose of warm cherries and mulberries with hints of spice cake, rose hip tea and fragrant earth. Medium-bodied, fine and fresh, it has a good core of red berry and earth flavors supported by grainy tannins and an impressive acid backbone, finishing long and spicy.

91 Vinous

Vivid red. Primary red and blue fruits on the nose, along with hints of mocha, underbrush and cola. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering juicy boysenberry and cherry flavors that tighten up and become spicier on the back half. Subtle tannins lend shape to a smooth, persistent finish that echoes the blue fruit and spice notes.

90 James Suckling

This pinot noir shows aromas of cherries, almonds and white chocolate. Light hazelnuts, too. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh and vibrant finish. A little jammy. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.

90 Wine Spectator

Precise, with an appealing touch of savory earth, this offers notes of black cherry, smoky bay leaf and stony mineral. Drink now through 2024.
